Kara was born and raised in Webster, SD. After high school, she attended the University of South Dakota where she studied accounting at the Beacom School of Business. Kara graduated from USD in 2014 with her bachelor’s of business administration in accounting and moved to Sioux Falls, SD, shortly thereafter in pursuit of a career.

For her first years in Sioux Falls, Kara worked a few different jobs doing private accounting. She and her husband, Josh, were married in August of 2019.

The following February, she was inevitably allured by the insurance industry and became part of the Providence Financial family. Kara focuses on the financial aspect of the business at Providence while also providing exceptional service to our valued clients when called upon.

In her spare time, Kara loves to enjoy a glass of wine with friends, go boating at the lake with her family, spend time catching up with her brothers and sisters, and go on long walks with Josh and their fur-baby, Roman.
