What Makes Us Providence Financial
Take a look at our origin story from the words of our founder, Joey Larsen.
In 2017, I left Farm Bureau as an exclusive agent to start a Trusted Choice® Independent Insurance Agency from scratch. I was the sole owner and employee at the time, but I did not want to name my agency Larsen Insurance. I wanted to create a story, culture, and reputation that others would be able to represent—not a last name.
Because I am a proud Christian working in the insurance industry, I Googled “divine protection” to see if any words would pop out at me. Providence appeared in my Google search. I was unaware that the primary definition of providence is the care of God or nature over the creatures of the earth while a secondary definition is timely preparation of future eventualities. I felt that encompassed all I wanted to accomplish with my agency.

The shield on my logo is utilized to portray protection. The five stars is a salute to the five major branches of the military (prior to Space Force). The eagle is in reference to Isaiah 40:31. The blue on the logo represents meanings of depth, trust, loyalty, sincerity, wisdom, confidence, stability, faith, heaven, and intelligence.
I am proud to share that a few short years later, we are blessed with incredible success and the Providence family has grown to over 15 people.
